Welcome to Stanislaus Family Medicine Residency Program
Stanislaus County is extremely proud of their Family Medicine Residency Program, which is the only Residency in the County and based in Modesto, California. The Family Medicine Residency is a division of Stanislaus County's Health Services Agency and operates in cooperation with Doctors Medical Center, which is a division of Tenet Health Systems. The Family Medicine Residency was established in 1975, but prior to that there was a General Practice Residency Program which began in the 1950's. Our fully accredited residency is a 27 resident Program (9-9-9). For over 30 years, we have trained residents to practice in both rural and underserved settings. Our patient base is primarily underserved families and individuals from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
